Anthropologie
Prior to working at an ad agency, I worked as an apparel supervisor at Anthropologie Burlingame (RIP). Aside from the usual job requirements of managing a team, building customer relationships, and driving sales, I also took on the tasks of merchandising the floor under our Visual Merchandiser, helping our Display Coordinator build our displays, and running our regional Instagram account. This meant styling and taking photos of our new products, location scouting in our neighborhood, posting about exclusive store events and sales, and even briefing other stores in the area on what sort of content to capture to ensure a cohesive Instagram feed.
Faces in photos were intentionally kept more anonymous, with the intention being that viewers could see themselves in the images, in the clothing. The focus was not on the sales-associates-turned-models, but on the pieces themselves.
