California Coastal Commission –
Protect Your Happy Place
2020 was a wild year, but social distancing didn’t keep eco-loving Californians away from cleaning up their local beaches, parks, and streams. Once it was clear that the big beach clean up gatherings from years past was no longer an option, California Coastal Commission approached us to find a solution. How do we ensure people can still get out there and clean up their coast? By encouraging them to Protect Their Happy Place, wherever that may be.
We related to our audience by tapping into 3 distinct happy places: The ocean, NorCal parks, and SoCal palm trees. We created 3 posters in both English and Spanish, as well as releasing T-shirts and postcards so people could feel connected to the cause wherever they were.
